FINAL POSTERS

I wanted to stay true to jewish tradition and symbolism for the content of my two posters. However, I wanted to convey these older traditions in a new and fun way.

The first poster shows a Shofar, a musical instrument used in traditional jewish culture. The shofar is shown abstractly, with the band names in the texture on the sides if the horn. The dynamic angle of the shofar shown as well as the content being a musical instrument, convey a sense of movement and rhythm found in music. The colors show a sense of fun and merriment found in musical gatherings and festivals.

The second poster shows an image of Esther, associated with the moon in jewish culture. Again, taking something traditional and showing it in a new light. Although subtle, the word of Atlanta Jewish Music Festival are arranged in a shape of a moon to complement the image of the woman below. The flowing of her dress conveys the moment and rhythm of musicality and fun. The band names are seen as part of the background.
